Thursday was the official end of “bike training” for Jaden. During one of his sessions we added an outdoor play and riding his bike was one of them. I told him we needed to ride down to the end of the street, circle back, and hit the brakes by our truck. The first time he didn’t get it during the turn. However, he was determined to do it as he really wanted to celebrate his accomplishment at Chick-Fil-A. Thus the next time was perfect and a big smile was on his face. Jaden can now ride a bike without training wheels or any help. Now we just need to have him continually ride his bike when we go on “walks” around the neighborhood.
The rest of the day was pretty quiet. We did an errand to Costco in the morning hours to get supplies for the weekend. Also, we were going to buy some fruit trees and get some soil for planting. They had organic soil, but their plants and trees being sold were not. Therefore we ended up skipping that part and will look elsewhere. Once back home, we stayed there until leaving to Chick-Fil-A.
After we finished eating at Chick-Fil-A, we headed to Trinity Community Church. There we attended the Maundy Thursday event which started at 7 pm. It was a time of remembrance and appreciation for what Jesus was about to do for the whole world. In that we took communion, sang some songs, heard a sermon, and were done by 830 pm. Jaden was up late, so I asked him to sleep till 7 am the next day. It worked!!
